BioBorn and currently living in Illinois, I've also lived in rolling east Tennessee and by the swamps of Florida's west coast. It's been interesting to live in three such different biomes. I've visited Europe three times (Germany, Italy, England and Edinburgh, Greece, Vienna, Paris). I'm nearly fluent in German and have some memory of high-school Latin, which beefs up my vocabulary and bridges to many other European languages. When I worked in publishing, I edited and wrote technical material, clarifying complex material for easy understanding. It was a kick to hold a book that I'd written and seen through the production process. I've student-taught high-school German, and I led a junior-level Girl Scout troop -- I learned to build a fire in damp Florida. I'm currently taking art classes: I really enjoy making things, especially things that I can try to make beautiful.
